01. Green grain purchase

We collaborate directly with certified farms and farm cooperatives, bypassing intermediaries. Our network includes established relationships with reputable global suppliers of green coffee. In addition to providing both commercial varieties and specialty options, we prioritize sourcing quality-certified raw materials.
With dependable partners, we guarantee the safety of our products throughout transportation, from the point of origin to their ultimate destination.

02. Storage of purchased products

Storing coffee requires careful attention to temperature control to preserve quality. Our warehouses maintain a constant temperature between 10°C to 20°C, minimizing fluctuations. With thermal insulation and sealed premises, we ensure optimal storage conditions. We stockpile at least 250 tons of raw materials, utilizing a 600 m² finished goods warehouse with an address storage system for efficient organization.

03. Cleaning and quality control

Our coffee production follows meticulous stages. Firstly, we categorize and accept grains by type and variety. Each batch then undergoes comprehensive physical, chemical, and technical analysis at our on-site accredited laboratory, equipped with modern technology to ensure raw material quality.
Tests include grain size determination and assessment of physical, chemical, and organoleptic characteristics. We also determine cleaning and roasting degrees, creating recipes for each blend.
Upon lab approval, raw materials undergo primary treatment. We use color separators with a two-sided review system to ensure quality grain selection.

04. Roasting

During roasting, essential processes unfold, shaping coffee's organoleptic qualities. Roasting duration is guided by our recipes to achieve the desired degree. Our skilled team continually refines their expertise to enhance coffee's strengths and mask any weaknesses. Utilizing PROBAT professional European equipment, our roasting facilities prioritize purity of flavor with rigorous cleaning measures, safeguarding against foreign taste intrusion.

05. Mixing roasted beans

In pursuit of new taste experiences and achieving a balance between sourness and bitterness, we create coffee blends by combining roasted beans. A blend comprises two or more coffee types, each distinguished by its unique taste. Our company approaches blending with meticulous care and responsibility. The diversity and richness of our recipes enable us to craft drinks that are both unique and incomparable. The varieties of coffee used in our blends complement each other perfectly, enhancing the strengths of each bean and resulting in a rich, pronounced aroma.

06. Grinding

When brewing coffee, extraction happens through methods like coffee machines, French presses, or mugs, revealing the tonic properties, aroma, and taste we adore.
Grind size is pivotal: finer grinds offer more contact area for faster extraction, while coarser grinds need longer brewing.
With industrial mills, our production finely tunes grinding levels, from coarse to the finest Turkish grind, ensuring ideal extraction for every brewing method.

07. Packaging

We use multi-layer combined film with a specialized degassing valve to package our products, allowing excess carbon dioxide release and preventing oxygen penetration. The shelf life of our whole bean coffee is 18 months.
After roasting, our ground coffee undergoes a carbon dioxide release period before packaging. Ground coffee emits carbon dioxide more rapidly than whole beans. Consequently, our ground coffee has a shelf life of 12 months.

08. Delivery to partners

Working with retail chains requires meticulous document handling, precise ordering, efficient preparation, and punctual delivery adherence.
We partner with trusted logistics transport companies to uphold high service standards and ensure timely product delivery. Our dedicated document management team at The Dutch Coffeebar ensures accuracy in shipping documentation.
Weekly, our logistics partners execute pallet deliveries to retail chains, encompassing stores and distribution centers, spanning over 180 cities and towns throughout Europe.
